Wishing You the Best of the Season

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

Another year is wrapping up and what a year it has been. Lots of people felt the effects of the rough economy and I suppose we all felt a little battered by events.
That’s why I want to offer my wish to you, that this season finds you with family or friends—someplace you can relax and take a deep breath. A new decade is around the corner. Let’s all wish for the best, for everyone.

Happy holidays, my friends. See you next decade.

Over the River and Through the Woods

Friday, November 20th, 2009

It’s the time of year to head over the Indian River and through the Woods at Crooked Mile—to Grandmother’s house you go. You say grandma doesn’t live on Merritt Island? Well, think of it as a metaphor. You gotta go to grandma’s for Thanksgiving and Gatto’s wants to help you get there.

The ROAD TRIP SPECIAL is tailor-made for getting to grandma’s because it’s designed to get your ride into the kind of shape it takes to get over any river (please use the bridge or causeway) or through any woods (within reason). Don’t get stranded on the highway with a pumpkin pie cooling in your lap.

Make sure you’re ready to hit the road with a ROAD TRIP SPECIAL for only $19.95.

Road Trip Special $19.95 - Oil Change, Check Brakes, Tire Rotation, Tire Inspection, Check Fluids, Belts and Hoses, Vehicle Maintenance Inspection (Most Cars. +$3.00 Environmental Fee)

Here’s a special coupon to help you save. We don’t usually put coupons in my “On the Road” messages, but think of this one as a Thanksgiving Day (and part of December) present. How traditional!

I can almost smell the turkey. You say you’re a vegetarian? I can almost smell the metaphor.
Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving and be careful on the roads. Turkey or tofu, enjoy!

Great Reasons for Great Tires at Gatto’s!

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

As you may know by now, Gatto’s is offering a great deal right now on Michelin tiresClick here for details.

But you may be interested in some good reasons to buy these great tires at Gatto’s.  I’m glad you asked (we’ll just pretend that you did).

Tires are the only parts of your car that touch the ground

The same passion for excellence that goes into tires Michelin makes for championship winning race cars goes into the tires they make for your car. Michelin® tires give you confidence to enjoy the road, while helping to keep you safe behind the wheel.

Visit the Michelin website for more info on tire care, check out their buying guides and take a refresher course on how to change a tire (just one of the interactive guides on this page: http://www.michelinman.com/tire-care/tire-basics/).

Fall is on the way

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

And you’ll fall for the deal that’s coming in October.

October is almost here.  You know what that means.  It’s time to plan this year’s Halloween costume, maybe drive up north to watch the leaves change colors, and of course get ready for the super deal that Gatto’s and MICHELIN® are putting together.

I can’t tell you the specifics yet (something about the National Secrets Act, or some such thing), but if your passenger vehicle or light truck could benefit from a new set of the longest-lasting and most fuel efficient tires in this category*, then mark October 1 with a big red box and get ready to save on MICHELIN® tires at Gatto’s.

Cash for Non-Clunkers, Helping the Economy, One Customer at A Time

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

The Cash for Clunkers program has been moving some metal off car dealer lots and that could be good for the economy. But you never know what kind of unintended consequences there might be with a new program. It might not be a good move for the folks who had a nice reliable clunker that was paid off, since they will be trading it for a car payment. This is especially true if the new car they buy does not get significantly better gas mileage than their trade-in. That was supposed to be the point.

And how about all of you who have a car that doesn’t even qualify because it’s too new or too fuel-efficient? Gatto’s wants to give you a little cash stimulus to help you keep your ride on the road.
