Gas is expensive and it looks like it may stay that way for a while.  So if you have already prepped your vehicle with excellent maintenance at Gatto’s, you can use the web to track down the best deals (relatively, at least) on fuel.  Here are a few websites that can give you the low down on current gas prices throughout the US.  And if you have wireless access you can continue to get updates as you travel.

Some cell phones can also give you the strait skinny on gas prices. Mobio's free Cheap Gas utility runs on BlackBerry, Nokia, HTC, Sony Ericsson, and Palm Treo smart phones.

And if your vehicle has a GPS system installed, it may include gas prices as part of an optional traffic update service.

For example, the optional MSN Direct Receiver ($125) sends updated traffic, gas prices, and movie show times to the Garmin Nuvi 760 and other GPS devices.

Knowledge is power.  And with the knowledge you get from surfing the web you may have enough power to get you where you want to go.  Start slow, keep a light foot on the gas pedal, and may you always find the gas station with the least expensive product.
